Hounds for Heroes 5k

 The Hounds for Heroes 5k went amazingly thanks to all of the hard work of our volunteers and participants! We were so pleased to have members from MU present to participate and talk to everyone on race day. Thanks to the GREAT turnout at the Hounds for Heroes 5k, we were able to raise over $2,000 to donate to ReCHAI's "Veterans and Shelter Dogs" program!! We appreciate everyone's participation and hope you all had as much fun as we did :)

     To honor our servicemembers of all military branches, Hounds for Heroes 5k will strive to achieve funds in order to further research in a much overlooked area. "Veterans & Shelter Dogs" is an MU "... program consisting of research programs directed at facilitating successful adoption of shelter dogs, and helping combat veterans fight the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to re-integrate into civilian life."
