December Update: Nala

CAMO also has more exciting news! Recently, we received a call on a Hound/Great Dane mix named Daney. She was in a home that no longer wanted her and, if not rescued that night, she would have been euthanized in the morning. A neighbor heard about what was going on and contacted CAMO. Though we are not a rescue, we do network with many and we hoped to find an opening for her somewhere. After exhausting our options trying to find a rescue for Daney that night, CAMO stepped in and Daney was surrendered into our care until we could get her into a rescue. When we picked her up, she was obviously confused, but was so sweet and loving despite the circumstances. After spending a night with CAMO's president, she was transported to Happy Tails Hideaway in Warsaw, MO. Since that night, Daney has been renamed "Nala" and is currently waiting for her forever family to come adopt her!

Because our group is actively involved in the animal shelter/rescue world, we see deserving animals like Nala every day that we want to help. Like we have said in the past, our success largely depends on our amazing supporters. As we move forward into 2013, we ask you to consider making a donation to CAMO to help us continue to do what we love: help animals while bringing our communities together. There are thousands and thousands of animals just like Nala out there and, together, we can make a difference for some of them!
